 Wydział Prawa i Administracji i Katedra Prawa Własności Intelektualnej Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego serdecznie zapraszają do uczestnictwa w drugiej edycji Kraków Intellectual Property Law Summer School – Szkoły letniej z prawa własności intelektualnej, która odbędzie się w Krakowie w dniach 17-22 września 2018 r. Oferta skierowana jest również do praktyków zainteresowanych ochroną własności intelektualnej.

Poniżej przedstawiamy szczegóły programu w języku angielskim – Szkoła prowadzona jest w całości w języku angielskim.

PROGRAMME:

The topic of the 2018 Kraków Intellectual Property Law Summer School is Manoeuvring between limitations, exceptions and infringements of IPRs. Exceptions, limitations and infringements of the main regimens of IP protection will be discussed: copyright, patents, trade marks and design rights.  The programme consists of lectures of the keynote speakers and guest lecturers, as well as workshops, case studies and group discussions.

SPEAKERS AND LECTURERS:

The keynote speakers and lecturers of the Kraków IP Law Summer School are recognized specialists in the area of intellectual property, both from foreign universities (Radzyner Law School in Israel, University of Szeged in Hungary) and Polish universities, many of whom have vast practical experience in complicated IP cases.

ELIGIBILITY

The Summer School is open to law students (undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students) and young professionals (attorneys, counsellors-at-law, patent attorneys, legal trainees etc.). The program is designed for candidates who wish to obtain deeper knowledge of IP law. Good command of English is required.

PARTICIPATION FEES

Regular Rate:

Students: 1000 zł. (ca. 240 EUR) /

Young Professionals: 1200 zł. (ca. 29o EUR)

Early Bird Rate: (applications made on or before May 28, 2018):

Students: 700 zł. (ca. 170 EUR) /

Young Professionals: 1000 zł (ca. 240 EUR)

Participation fees covers: participation in the full course, course material, coffee breaks, opening lunch on Monday, welcome reception on Monday, visit in the University Museum located in the oldest building Collegium Maius.

Participants are responsible for their own travel to and from Kraków, accommodation, insurance and living expenses during their participation in the programme.

  3. Once accepted, you will receive a formal letter with the instructions on registration and payment.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: July 31, 2018.

Due to a limited number of participants, it is recommended to submit a filled in application early in order to secure a place in the Summer School. Applications will be considered on a “rolling basis”, in the order in which they are submitted.
